If we go to any G5 conference, scheduling does NOTHING but hurt the P5 program's schedule. With the increased number of conference games and conferences requiring a certain amount of non-conference P5 games, the number of dates per year a P5 team has to schedule a G5 is very low. And if they schedule a G5, they will schedule a cupcake as a tune up game. BYU was bad last year, but we are rarely so bad as to be treated as a tune-up game. If we move to G5, there is no reason or motivation for P5 teams to schedule us. As an independent, they have a lot of good reasons. Just my thoughts...
