Schools back out of these schedules all the time, or they reschedule. It’s a red herring
to suggest that it would be prohibitively expensive to join MWC/AAC.
Furthermore, if joining a conference is truly the best thing for BYU long term, it’s dumb to turn that down because some OOC scheduling.
It’s also probably short sighted of whoever schedules this stuff to only include P5 clauses. One simply cannot assume that the landscape is going to stay the same when the OOC contracts were negotiated.

Why would their opponents agree to just let them out of major 7 figure contracts for any dumb reason?
