Critical? No. Cynical? Yes. Bronco saw the writing on
the wall. He was fully aware of BYU’s limitations and got out of Dodge. He knew he could never win enough as an Independent and with the HC.
I’m still a fan and I not critical of BYU. It is what it is and BYU’s DNA can’t change. I’ve come to accept that and just enjoy the games for what they are...just games. But I believe BYU will never be the BYU of old. The game is different now and the world is different and those differences aren’t conducive to BYU consistent long-term success.
