If the Conference USA really only deserves 1 bid based on their overall quality, and they choose to give that one bid to a team that got hot over 3 games instead of the team who showed excellence over a 20 game season, then it seems fair that their best team gets left out. Why would Conference USA want Marshall to be their representative instead of Middle Tennessee?

The NCAA gives welfare by giving the auto bids. Conference USA should not whine because they do not receive enough welfare. Its up to them to choose how they want to divvy out their welfare.
