The motivation to make changes and compete at a highler level wouldn't be there
I want BYU to compete at the highest level to force BYU to change how it spends and hires.
Fortunately, BYU did just that, went out and hired the most experienced O Staff it could hiring 2 non BYU guys and 4 analysts.

One main difference is that P5 conferences consider independent BYU a P5 game, so it is easier to schedule us

Exactly my point. By moving to ANY G5, our ability to schedule meaningful P5 games is greatly reduced
