It was a great D, but not as good as 2012. I would say the 2012 team was the one
that won games in spite of Riley Nelson's QB play. He got injured against Weber State and was never the same, but he played well in 2011 and against Washington State in 2012.

One main difference is that P5 conferences consider independent BYU a P5 game, so it is easier to schedule us

Exactly my point. By moving to ANY G5, our ability to schedule meaningful P5 games is greatly reduced
