There was a series on network TV last summer with this premise, but it was two people hiding for 30 days for $X of money (wasn't $1M, like $10k or something).

The authorities had access to all computer records (cell phone, friends, family, banking, DOT CCTV cameras, etc).  The longest anyone went was like 3 weeks and that was without a turn-in bounty and these people were using friends/relatives to help them.  In each case, it was these computer records that always lead the authorities to those on the run (cell phone, friend's cell phone, ATM withdrawls, CCTV, etc.).

You would have to have a ton of CASH to buy a ton of burner phones and to stay off the grid.
