A couple of months ago I saw the fattest guy I’d ever seen at work
I was in the men’s bathroom and I looked in the mirror and saw myself. I was pushing 375. My 3XL shirt was burst at the seams. My chins were flapping in the wind.
It was a shameful sight.
So I went to the doctor. We did blood work. He said I had a vitamin D deficiency. He referred me to a nutritionist.
She helped me realize all the slop I was putting in my body was the root of my obesity.
So now, I take vitamin D everyday. I am mindful of what I eat. Less sugar. More veggies. All it takes is discipline and now I’m down about 50 lbs since August.
My entire family is overweight. It would be easy to blame my genes for my large jeans, but it comes down to how I choose to treat my body.
The shame i felt for being such a fatty has been a major contributor to my continued recovery.
Weight loss begins and ends with food. That’s it.
