has almost killed herself twice leaving the stove on, has a bunch of cats that pee all over the place and she never cleans up and it makes you want to gag walking into her old house, and she says yes to every phone scam that comes along.

She thinks she can live alone but she can’t. It is so sad to see.

We just moved her into memory care. She has been telling the staff how bad the mattresses are. The staff is pretending she is mattress shopping to try and go along with her delusion. It might seem mean, but having these little types of fantasies can really help transition out of an unsafe environment and into a facility. Crazy the lengths you have to go to some times to try and preserve a little dignity.
