It was pretty difficult visiting and not having her know who I was. My sister was the "nice lady who lives next door." My brother moved in with them to help. She forgot who my dad was. We had to disconnect the stove because she also had left things burning multiple times. Thankfully, she didn't go on for too many years like that, and it was a blessing when she finally passed, especially with the understanding we have of the plan of salvation.
This Mother's Day was the second one without my mom--she passed away in late January of last year.
