I'm kind of confused here...are you assuming that all mid-major recruits are below BYU's recruiting net? I guess if I was coach (and I'm not...I don't have relationships with the players and their families, spend time developing them, etc) I would consider a kid like this a unique prospect/project that wouldn't always consider BYU. I'm sure I don't have the basketball eyes they do...but it seems like this kid and others that we have passed on have the tools to become at least serviceable players at worst, with their ceiling being a lot higher than other players on the team. Football is obviously different with more scholarships...but I'm pretty sure we are all happy we took a chance on Ziggy.
