Haleiwa paddle boarding - stop at the surf shop right before you cross the arched bridge in haleiwa. They can rent paddleboards for $20 an hour. If you have kids you can fit 2 people on a board. Go under the bridge and up the river, I always see several large turtles in the water there.

Lanikai beach - in Kailua and usually very empty. No tourists ever really make it here but imo it is the most scenic beach on the island.if you have access to boogie boards this is a great beach for that.

Koko head - this is a hike up old abandoned railroad tracks to a wwII lookout. It is about 1000 steps to the top and has gorgeous views. Its a tough climb in the heat especially for little ones so be sure to eat well and bring lots of water.

China wall - dont bring the kids to this one if they are not excellent swimmers. Its a sheer 20 foot cliff face located behind a neighborhood at the base of diamond head. Beautiful views of sunset amd several places you can cliff jump and climb the rocks back up. Relatively close to koko head and i always like stopping here for a quick dip after the exhausting climb.

USS Missouri - The tour of the USS Missouri is by far my favourite part of pearl harbour.

Dole Plantation - stop by amd get yourself a dole whip and walk through the garden. No need to spend a lot of time here but its a fun drive through the fields to get there.

Teds Bakery - Just around the corner from pipeline beach this place has good food but the pie is incredible. Ill make a couple of stops here for the coconut macadamia nut pie and i don't even like coconut. Its that good.

Snorkelling - hanauma bay is great if you haven't been snorkelling a whole lot. If you have you probably wont be impressed. Just google what places are good this time of year and pick a couple to try out. There a several great ones.

Things to skip - swap meet, PCC (I have never actually been but everyone says its okay and when I offer to pay for them to go again with me they decline), waikiki.
