Nobody knows the future. My only point is that we have a history of culture
and tradition being presented as eternal truth when it's really just culture and tradition. Blacks and the priesthood is the best example. Many church members, including apostles and prophets, believed and actively taught all kinds of false things about black people, including that they would never be allowed to hold the priesthood. Eventually the church changed course and we discarded old teachings.

When it comes to the proclamation on the family, I will point out that it doesn't hold the status of canonized scripture. Many people act like it does, but it doesn't. Not saying we should disregard it, but I could definitely see that particular document being downplayed in the future, particularly if new revelations supersede or clarify some aspects of it.

Who knows. All I'm saying is that the church has a history of major changes that would have absolutely blown the minds of members from previous eras. Will something similar happen with LGBTQ issues? I don't know. Nobody does. But the fact is, God may have things in store that currently seem unthinkable.
