I think it is likely that BYU makes it into the P5 ...

... just as it becomes a P4 world.

Sort of like TCU making their initial “jump” to the BCS Big East, just before both the BCS and Big East stopped meaning anything.

BYU ends up in the pile of leftovers, arguing unsuccessfully for Power Conference status. That’s the group that would welcome BYU.

And it might be better than Indy.
