both were good. My Note8 is amazing. Love the infinity screen. The phone is lightning quick and has not slowed down. I use Nova Launcher so i don't use the Samsung Experience Launcher (formerly TouchWiz) but its not bad anymore either. Its still a bit annoying that there is some bloat and that Samsung duplicates apps like Calendar, but I actually am using some fo the Samsung apps because you can dark theme them and they have all the same basic features as things like Google Calendar, and actually are a bit more polished in their look.

But I am telling you, Samsung Pay is the clincher. It is simply the best Contactless payment system out there. Its not just NFC, but also has a samsung propietary chip that mimics regular card swipe. You simply wave it over the magnetic strip reader and boom, it works. Its been fun to have peeple say to me, "We don't take Apple Pay here...Oh... that worked, huh.

I have only found a couple places where it doesn't work, and its the restaurants like SmashBurger where they take your card and have to swipe it themselves. for some reason I cannot get it to read there. But most other places it works swimmingly.

We had Android Pay on our Nexus devices and I had set it up for my wife, but she never used it because it wasn't accepted in some places, but once she started using Samsung Pay, with all of the places it works, she uses it all the time as well. Samsung Pay really is a difference maker for me.
