When Lee Cummard came back for his senior year, it helped BYU continue a run of 5 straight NCAA invites. Too bad Plaisted left early or I believe that team would have won a game or two in the tourney.
When Jimmer came back for his senior year, it launched BYU's best season in 30 years.
If Mika had returned for last season, BYU certainly would have gone dancing and probably won a game or two in the tourney.
If Elijah were coming back next year, along with Yoeli, then I would feel confident that BYU would go dancing, with a legit shot at winning a game or two in the tourney.
In today's environment, your best hoops player is always going to find suitors who encourage them to go pro sooner than later. BYU doesn't get the Jabari Parker and Frank Jackson one and done guys. For BYU to win games in the NCAA tournament, Dave Rose needs the best player to return for an extra season.
For the first time in several years, Dave Rose is returning the bulk of his team. I am very interested and somewhat hopeful to see what an extra year together means for these guys.
