Finally had time to work out some claim issues with insurance. Turns out we do have comprehensive insurance on the motorhome. We got our policy about 10 years ago and I had completely forgotten we did that. We rarely continue comprehensive after we pay off a vehicle and we bought the motorhome with cash so it was actually a surprise to me that we did it.

I guess at the time my wife had said something about not feeling completely safe not having it while I was on the phone with insurance and we ended up with it. I've been paying it for 10 years even though it has sat for about the last 6 with gas prices being a deterrent.

They also confirmed that home owner insurance (through the same company) would be needed to cover contents. So a $500 deductible for the RV insurance and $1000 for the home owners insurance. After that we should be able to replace some of our needed property.

Actually feels like another blessing came our way in addition to us 4 getting out completely unharmed.
