Good, bad, nice, jerk, LDS, otherwise... whatever. The man is not BYU's friend.
He often gets a pass by some because they hear of his LDS connection, or because he's a "nice guy" who once said something kinda nice about BYU.
We really need to view his actions, not listen to his words... he's been in an influential role for a long time, and he's been true to his role, not true to BYU. Honestly, he has no connection to BYU or obligation to their athletic success. He's not doing anything wrong by doing his job as well as he can, but we need to realize that he's never going to be BYU's advocate. And that's okay. I just don't want to hear about him anymore on CB, LDS or not. He's not our friend.
