True - but at this point the situation has been going on for long enough that
kids and their parents should know about the burden of school debt.
For me, I was sympathetic to a lot of the older people who couldn't stop smoking. But I have no sympathy at all for someone who starts smoking in 2018. It wasn't as open of a discussion 10-15 years ago about how much student debt was going to cost. But in 2018, everybody should already know.
