we have a 2 ft fishpond. Almost lost a child during winter when she fell in

after getting too close or slipping. If she had known how deep it was, she could have just stood up. The coat flipped her on her back and kept her afloat while her older sibling ran into the house to get mom.

Not sure how long she was floating on her back like that, but super scary. And it wasn't even a swimming pool, nor was even remotely deep.
