I agree with the philosophy that we need to have a ball control offense, limit the number of plays, stay close, and be in a position to win in the 4th quarter.
The game has changed. Our vertical attack under LaVell wouldn't work today like it did. Leach's offense would not take advantage of BYU's strengths. Anae's latest offense didn't take advantage either.
Big power backs, big dependable TEs, possession WR's, big OL, savvy game manager QB.
Power run and play action passing. A lot of shifting, pulling linemen, counters, fly sweeps to keep opponents honest.
Nothing innovative, but plays to BYU's strengths. I think this is what we will see with Grimes which is why I'm so excited.
