I don't care if Kalani signed off on it or not. Doesn't matter. I'm also upset with Ty for taking the job. I went to see one of the games he was coaching at that tiny private school and the idea that he could step into a D1 OC role at a program like BYU after coaching a team averaging 135lbs is laughable.
The whole thing was set up for failure and although we were hopeful we all knew it was a huge risk. It didn't pay off. I fully expect BYU to be better this year even though its another 1st time OC. At least this time its a coach with some real experience coaching offense at the D1 level.
I'm rarely this negative about a BYU program even though I sometimes share some of the same feelings as the debbie downers living on this board. In this case however there is no excuse. No silver lining. Everybody lost on that deal and I'm still mad about it.
