high school coach in Texas. I was against his being given the OC job from the start and was even laughed at because how could a defacto extra coach in the NFL fail. So not only was he given the job but a huge chunk of money to do it, so much so that we had to get inexperience with the other coaches due to budgetary concerns.
Thankfully BYU has ponied up cash for experience now and hopefully, we have coaches who know how to work with, teach and motivated college players. Thankfully we are leaving a pro-style offense that doesn't work in college unless you can recruit players who will dominate their opposition and then dominate with superior execution.
If we have a mini Auburn, or LSU, or Ohio State power spread offense (realizing we have less talented players) I will be fine with that.
