If your daughter is legit collegiate talent then she’ll prove herself in the USTA rankings that’s where the coaches will look to evaluate prospects combined with success at high school state championships not at a BYU camp doing drills and competing with kids many of whom don’t even play USTA tournaments. If you look at the roster of women’s tennis it’s also become national and even international in their recruiting footprint. BYU sports camps aren’t billed to be like a Nick Bolletteri academy if you’re looking for something geared to a high level instruction look elsewhere but if you want a fun social experience with some of your kid’s friends and some BYU campus flavor, its all about your goals and expectations. This is the stated goal on the BYU site “This is excellent preparation for anyone interested in participating in high school tennis or preparing to compete in USTA leagues and/or tournaments.” If this goal doesn’t align with your expectations than its probably not a good fit.
