Need help from CB medical peeps or those with history with medical marijuana.
My dad is 91. Has severe pain in his lower back due to long-ago injury and arthritis in his lower back and a nerve that is now getting pinched or pressured in between two vertebra.

About 2 months ago, something triggered significant pain in his back. Since then he's been on a combination of muscle relaxers, pain patch and NorCo. They've gone with a myriad of combinations of all the above along with massages, physical therapy. Nothing seems to be working. He's still in constant pain.

Right now he's on 7.5 mg of NorCo every 6 hours. We're at the point now where he is counting down the last 2 hours prior to each NorCo. I'm not an expert, but, he seems to be addicted.

I'm ready to seriously consider cannabis for him. Readily available here in the PNW.

Is that something to seriously consider? If so, how does one wean off of NorCo to then go with the cannabis? His pain doc had him sign an agreement he woudln't use NorCo and cannabis, so, he'd have to drop the NorCo first. I'm not sure how fast the cannabis would work.

Any thoughts?
