There are plenty of contracts I can technically get out of but don't
unless absolutely necessary because that is what someone with integrity does. Banks don't want the home you buy, the return of it is not full recompense for their loan. They do it because the expectation is that the borrower will pay it back most of the time. The idea that people have that if banks needed more than the house that they would put that in the contract shows an absurd misunderstanding of business and the good faith that has to go in all contracts. I don't simply view any contract as what I can and can't get away with in a court of law. If everyone did that we would be in a very sorry state.
