My first reaction is to agree however I think there's another aspect to this that I like in having an LDS coach. I'm not
sure I agree with my own thoughts on this yet but having the requirement to be LDS also offers a natural job placement for LDS coaches. BY having an LDS head coach I think it creates depth like Bronco who went on to coach at UV. I also think having an LDS HC creates a more likely situation to have a higher percentage of LDS assistants. I know that would be highly likely already being at BYU but I think you might see less LDS coaches if he wasn't. That's a two edged sword however because I also don't want 70% plus LDS coaches. I'd prefer around 60%. I think the culture of being mormon and understanding mormons is important when coaching at BYU but that's already a given that everyone gets.

I think I made that make sense. Like I said, I'm not sold on the thought process but I think it has some merit.
