You have seen many coaches across the college landscape sweep sexual assaults and other issues under the rug. With the pressure to win I don't know if it is the best idea to have a non-member head coach. It could work for sure, but I think there is a lot more risk of issues being swept under the rug that would make the issues in the Crowton era seem like nothing. The church doesn't want that bad publicity.
