Work out some kind of deal with Texas and the LHN and be willing to take OSU (and Baylor if necessary) and you get Texas, Oklahoma, A&M and TTech.

That is a freaking beast of a conference and in one fail swoop they could have killed the B12 and ensured dominance over the entire western half of the US. The money would have flowed into P16 coffers in ways that would compensate for the LHN; which is going to die someday anyway.
