level school. I think he had realistic opportunities to interview at real football schools. But I agree, if he does great at Virginia then other opportunities will surely be there for him if he wants them.
Virginia is a tough project though. I'm not sure "turn around" is even applicable as it implies Virginia was ever on the right path to start with. Their performance in the modern era of football is pretty bad. They have been in the ACC for more than 50 years and have never won an outright conference championship (have shared it twice). Doesn't really seem like a good stepping stone opportunity if you are trying to advance your coaching career to bigger schools.
