There is more and it has been discussed here many times. BYU is only hiring

active LDS people into full-time, tenure-track positions nowadays and has been doing so for several years. As those non-LDS faculty are retiring, they are being replaced by active LDS. Yes that shrinks the pool of potential candidates, but that is what the BOT wants.
