I agree. But I would add that regardless of who we hire,
BYU FB is just not a program that can generate consistent 9-10 win seasons anymore. I’m not basing this on last season’s results alone, it’s been a slow and steady crawl over the last 10 years and since going independent. As I’ve said many times on here, this is due to a number of factors—independence, difficult schedules, trying to recruit with the honor code, academics, Utah going to the PAC 12, and the CFB landscape.
Nevertheless, I don’t place all the blame on KS for where the program is but I do place the blame on him for last season, and a few others, of course.
With that said, I do still hope for (and believe it could happen) a magical 10-11 win season every 5-6 years if the stars align!
