Marketing maybe? Travel? Resources like use of facilities?
Maybe its like my employer whittling away at benefits every year. 😉
Maybe the staff position pays less now? I was also wondering if it might be an accumulation of little stuff like scheduling practice fields has gotten harder and Smyth sees BYU doesn't value the program so why bother? But then, it could be political as well. My FIL taught more many years at BYU and a new VP could make life miserable. Sounds like everybody is guessing.
