That's not at all what I was saying. While it may be true that protecting my family is more important than not

killing, the point was that the phrase, "believe in not killing" is incomplete and subject to interpretation, just as the phrase we believe in mercy is incomplete and subject to interpretation. Just as we may believe not every single killing is wrong, we don't believe mercy is an absolute and without consideration for justice.
