So I'm out breaking the Sabbath at Ike's sandwiches in San Jose
You order at the counter. Not only do they ask you to tip up front, but now they automatically add a $1 surcharge to your order. I asked what it is for and they said it is to pay for higher minimum wage and employee benefits and that I can opt out if I want.

Totally ridiculous. Stop trying to guilt people into paying more. Paying your employees should be baked into the cost of your products. Why should I have to decide if little Timmy gets health insurance? Will they spit in my sandwich or do a crap job of making it if I don't tip? I hate this.
