We are all “mobile workers” so they give us a drawer to put our crap in and then you basically find a place to camp for the day. I hate it. Almost daily I will come back to my camping spot to find a few people sitting/standing there having an impromptu meeting. It is always awkward because I either just sit down and kind of interrupt their meeting or I go wander around until I find a new camping spot. And then the camping spot might have someone else's crumbs from yesterday's lunch. One day I found a desk and there was a pile of nail clippings on the floor under the desk.... I can't deal with that.
It’s been postitioned as “work smart” and like we are going to be way more efficient this way, but in reality it is probably a tactic to cram more people into the
Building. Plus, I don’t know how you can work smarter without dual monitors.
People spend more time at work than they do with their family, the least you could do is give them a desk.
Rant over.
