First time I would make sure you hit all the touristy stuff that you can only do
On Oahu so next time you can go to a different island.

Pearl Harbor
Diamond head is a good hike but can get crowded sometimes.
Sharks cove(I think this is what’s it’s called definitely sharks something) is decent for snorkeling without using a guide for beginners.
Just drive around north shore find some good beaches.
