to make sure the TEAM knows who the starter should be. Grimes/Sitake have alluded to this. Last year Mangum was anointed the starter in the spring. Possibly he got a little soft last year. The coaches wanted to make sure all players are in an open competition with nothing being handed to them. They have to earn a starting position.

Maybe the coaches already know Mangum will start, but don't want to announce it yet. (keep Arizona guessing; keep other QB's working hard)

Maybe Wilson is still impressing with his arm and running ability. (Any guy that can talk two BYU cheerleaders into going to his high school prom with him has to be good.) 😆
