I'm assuming that Mangum comes out and absolutely torches Arizona in the 1st
half. Then, halfway through the third quarter with the game still close, he limps to the locker room. Wilson comes in and wins the game with a Hail Mary on the last play. Afterwards, it is revealed that Mangum has broken his foot and is out for the season. Wilson starts the rest of the year, breaking every BYU freshman passing record as we finish with a respectable 8-5 record. Next season, Mangum gets an extra year due to medical hardship and get the nod as starter, while Wilson gamely accepts the backup role. Mangum has a solid but unspectacular 6th-year season as the offense struggles mightily in the first season under new offensive coordinator John Beck, who is hired to replace Jeff Grimes after he leaves to take the head coaching gig at Virginia Tech. Beck has been coaching high school football in Arizona since retiring from the NFL, but Cougar fans are hopeful that his years as a backup NFL QB have prepared him to bring a new and innovative offense.

Wilson then takes the reigns in 2020 and BYU fans are ready for to see him exhibit the promise that he had shown as a freshman. He comes out of the gate strong but is injured midway through the season when he is awkwardly tackled by Utah St Saftey Brian Suite (somehow still playing for USU). Joe Critchlow finishes out the season at QB for the cougs. Fast forward to 2021, when Wilson starts the Season against Arizona by absolutely scorching the Wildcats for the first 2 quarters. Midway through the third quarter, Wilson limps off the field and is replaced by true freshman Jacob Conover, who wins the game with a Hail Mary on the last play.....................................
