Where do you get the idea that anyone is "shaming" Tanner? And what does that even mean.

We wonder how off-the-field issues affect players all the time, from injuries to parent involvement, to class loads, to marriages. If someone asks how an athlete's upcoming marriage might affect his on-the-field performance, it might be tangential, but it certainly isn't shaming a kid for getting married.
