as I could see it wasn't simply cuz the defenses got easier. He just really loosened up, was seeing the holes much better--& followed his blockers about as good as ANY BYU RB I've witnessed.
I'm actually looking forward to his chance against Arizona. And even Wisconsin. I really think the kid's a very good back who just had some growing pains.
And as far as I could see, Mahe mis-evaluated him. He really didn't seem to trust him for whatever reason. He got his chances late because Mahe (& Detmer) was all but forced to go with the clear & obvious leader among our backs.
