It said Sitake is doing something he’s never done or seen before anywhere else he’s coached...doing very few drills and lots of 11v11. Smells of a coach who doesn’t know what to do and is just trying to throw a Hail Mary and hope it works.

I really like Kalani and hope things work out, but for whatever reason that section of the article made me very uneasy. On the one hand, it makes sense to get as many reps as possible when installing a new offense. On the other within the Xs and Os there is a lot of nuance and technique that is hard to develop without a ton of repetition and focused coaching.

I guess we’ll see here in a couple weeks.
