Utah lost a ton of talent to the NFL before last season
If Carrington hadn't transferred in Utah probably doesn't go bowling. New QB, OC and four starting lineman.

The starting DTs played injured all year and were not able to get pressure on QBs or stop the run.

Last year was a down year and anyone that pays attention to Utah saw it coming.

This year is an up year for Utah. Dominant RB, experienced OL, experienced QB and the WR group is further along than anticipated. Plus everyone knows the system this year.

It's not so crazy to think that THIS YEAR the talent gap is wider than it has been.

BYU is learning a new system, replaced multiple OL, no go to RB and still deciding which QB will start.

Depending on who develops the script could flip and next year BYU is the preseason favorite. Add in graduates, missions and those that declare early teams can flip from weak to strong and back again in a flash. That's the fun of college vs pro.

Lots of words to say that yes this year I think Utah is quite a bit more talented than BYU and should win easily. So as the rivalry goes I guess that means you guys win this year?
