I think if the team were to go 5-7 and then BYU fires Kalani it could do more damage to the program than help it in the long run.

I think we need to give Kalani a few more years to establish his recruits and system. I think 4 to 5 years is probably a good benchmark for a coach and then do an evaluation. I don't think three years is enough time for an HC to establish very much when it comes to the complexities of running a football team at the D1 level.

Now, I am a fan, and like all other fans have ZERO influence on the program other than buying tickets to games, donating to the athletic department and rooting on my team. My opinion really does not matter in the long run, but I love my team and will continue to support them "Rain or Snow".

The only difference between Beardedcoug and myself is I don't have any love for Kalani outside of just being the coach. Never met the guy, never followed his career after he left playing for BYU. I sure hope he can find his rhythm with this team and get us to a Bowl (which I still believe we will get to this year).
