If you screwed up on something at work and your boss made you do 50 push-ups would you be more likely not to make that
Mistake because you feared the push-up or would your skill level remain the same as before?
I’ve always believed in running lines, push-ups for mistakes during practice. I’m just wondering if it makes sense.

I'd probably mess up a bit more to get in better shape.

sometimes the mistake has nothing to do with skill level, rather it has

So why does that impact the other? Would you be better off focusing on correcting the error

knowing a punishment is coming may motivate you to focus on correcting the error

It's done just to get guys in better shape. Coaches look for excuses to make

So it might not be the best use of time if a skill was deficient
