Benfica1 Walk-on
I actually remember the 1st time I heard fans booing. It seemed so out of place

at the time. The booing has gotten louder in the late 2000s. When I was younger, the complaints were: 1) older fans asking younger fans to sit down, 2) younger fans complaining about the tradition older fans have of shaking keys (I thought it was cool), 3) stadium officials annoyed at the paper airplanes and tortillas being tossed. Oh, those were the days.... 1980s - mid 2000s.

There has always been complaining about playcalling (I remember fans hating on Chow). The most recent complaining and whining has been crazy — because of social media and the fans that fear that BYU football is going to die (see last year's results) if they don't become Alabama overnight. The booing our own players annoys me a little. The fairweather-fandom is lame. And the past 3 years of Y fan UU/BYU comparisons on everything has gotten old. Just cheer for the team you like.
