My wife's cousin recently went through this same situation. Her husband was a student in a graduate engineering program

up at the U and she woke up one night to him having a grand mal seizure. She called the ambulance, tried cpr, and then he had a second grand mal seizure before the ambulance arrived. He was catatonic for a long while. It took a long time before he regained speech. He seemed to have some slight personality changes as well. But we are now about a year removed and he is almost back to full-function and has just re-enrolled in his master's program after intense physical therapy and rehabilitation.

I don't know everything about your wife's circumstances, but the sound similar... and maybe it means there is some hope for you down the road.

I am so sorry for you Twin Roots. I cannot imagine the pain and suffering you and your family must be going through... I'll continue praying for you all. God bless.
