The only question is why is there a rule about who can do what? It is sports entertainment. Everyone can do as they please. Long as you're not faking it in one area. I mean, there's not a chance in the world Gerald Degroot is a BYU fan, but he hangs out on this board and possibly pretends to someone out there that he's a BYU guy. 🙂

Not considering us a "real fan" of something is pathetic and baseless and I don't think you know what that word means. Because in some ways I bet there are some of those very people who are bigger "fans" than you'll ever be of that same team. Pretending authority is nonsense. You can't dictate how much someone enjoys or follows a team, and you shouldn't care. Support is support.

The fact that you give a crap why every other fan of your team is a fan along with you... Or other teams. Caring about crap like this actually shows what people really understand (or not) about sports.
