We're talking about people that are straight up fans of a team. Not people aimlessly bouncing around going for the next big thing at the moment.

If you are, in fact a fan, then yes, support is support. The goal of the sports team is to entertain and draw support. The purpose of the fan is to get behind something, support it, and be entertained.

Nobody owes you jack for reasoning on why they've always been a Packers fan in Oklahoma, or a Seahawks fan in Idaho, or a Suns fan in Montana.

And yes, you flat out said if you're not from the area of that team, you are not actually a real fan. Pretty freakin gutsy to make a claim like that. Dumbest thing I've ever heard, dictating what actually makes you a real fan.
