Fresno, and Nevada had just left the WAC (the best thing to happen for USU) it allowed USU to start to believe it could win football games again and build momentum and get ranked that high.  They have another ho hum season if those teams are still in the WAC.  Strategic scheduling by an AD is just as important to a program as great coaching and players making great plays.  Our current scheduling strategy is really setting BYU back, way more than the "play the big boys any where any time" crowd will ever admit.
